Payments, Taxes & Fees

Nope! Tegra Wireless does not charge any overages. Period. Are there any overages?

No, Tegra Wireless does not have any hidden charges or fees. In fact, we even include taxes in the price of our plans. What you see is what you pay. Are there any hidden charges?

Not a thing. All taxes and regulatory fees are included with your plan. How much are monthly taxes going to cost?

No. You may come and go as you please. Are there any termination fees if I leave?

We do not offer refunds for service used, but you may cancel at any time. We offer a 14-day return period for any purchased smartphones or accessories. Can I get a refund?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover Card. What credit/debit cards do you accept?

Wireless services are billed every 30 days starting the day you activate your service. When will I be charged for my plan each month?

Plans & Features

All of our plans come with unlimited domestic talk and text. What do calls & texts include?

Right now you can only use Tegra Wireless in the USA. We are working to add international compatibility soon. Stay tuned! Can I use Tegra Wireless internationally?

Yes, personal hotspot is available for all plans except for the unlimited plan. Please be sure your phone is hotspot compatible. Is personal hotspot included?

Right now we only offer single line plans, but we are currently working on adding family plans. Stay tuned! Are there any family plans?

No. No data of any kind (including video or other steaming) is throttled. Is Video or Data Throttled?

Visual voicemail is not available at this time. However, traditional voicemail is available. Does visual voicemail work?

Yes, all our plans include unlimited SMS and MMS (picture) messaging. Do plans include MMS / picture messaging?

Wi-fi calling is not available at this time. Do plans include wi-fi calling?

Yes, unlimited is really unlimited in the fact that there are no data caps and no throttling. We just ask that you not abuse the network and maintain reasonable usage.Is unlimited really unlimited?

You sure can. Email us at info@tegrawireless.com and we will update your plan for you. New plans will take effect at the next billing period. Can I change to another plan at any time?

Switching & Activation

Yes. During the activation process we will get your number transferred to your new service. Can I bring my phone number?

Any unlocked or T-Mobile smartphone that has not been reported lost or stolen, and has a previous account in good standing (if applicable) can be used with Tegra Wireless. Please note that if you are making smartphone payments with a different cellular carrier that usually means you cannot bring the smartphone to a new network until it is paid in full. Which devices can I use with Tegra Wireless?

You can start using Tegra Wireless buy purchasing a one-time activation kit for your existing device, or by purchasing a smartphone. How do I start using the service?

To activate, make sure you have an activation kit, visit www.tegrawireless.com/activate, and follow the instructions there. How do I activate service with Tegra Wireless?

Dial *#06# on your smartphone and your 15 digit IMEI should appear. How do I find my IMEI number?

Porting phone numbers can take up to 24 hours. We recommend using your existing carrier's service until activation is complete. How long does it take to port my phone number?

We’ll check if your number can be transferred while you’re signing up. If you’re on a family plan, transferring your number may impact the other people still on the plan. We recommend calling your carrier to check. How do I know if I can bring my number to Tegra Wireless?

Yes, we allow transferring (porting) phone numbers. If I bring my number to Tegra Wireless can I get it back if I decide to switch carriers?

Please check with your current wireless provider if there are termination fees for ending your service. Will I be charged a termination fee from my current provider if I switch to Tegra Wireless?

No, we do not pay for early termination fees. Will Tegra Wireless pay my termination fees if I have them?

If you want to end your service with your current wireless provider after you switch to Tegra Wireless you will need to contact your current wireless provider after you activate your Tegra Wireless account. Please be sure your Tegra Wireless account is fully activated before canceling your previous wireless service. If I switch to Tegra Wireless what do I do with my current wireless service?

Every carrier provides customers with three things: an account number, a pin number, and a phone number. We need these three things in order to move your phone number over. If you're not sure what this information is, contct your carrier and they should be able to provide this information. How do I port my number in to Tegra Wireless?

Please use the following information to port out your number to another service.

Pin Number: (The last four digits of your phone number) How do I port my number out of Tegra Wireless?

If you are getting this message, it means your activation is not yet complete. Sometimes it takes up to 24 hours to activate an account and port a number over. You can continue using your previous wireless service until the activation is complete. I'm getting a message saying my service is restricted and unavailable. What does this mean?

Using Servce

Data usage only occurs when using the cellular network. Using wi-fi does not count toward your data usage and is encouraged to use when available. Am I charged for data usage when I’m connected to wi-fi?

No, personal hotspot is included with every plan and works with compatible smartphones. Does it cost extra to use my phone as a personal hotspot?

If you run out of data for a billing period, you can wait until the next cycle or purchase a one-time data add-on. We offer 250MB for $6 as a data add-on option. There are no overages with Tegra Wireless. What happens when I run out of data?

As long as you have a compatible phone, you will be able to put your Tegra Wireless SIM card in a new phone and continue using service. What if I want to replace my current phone with another one?

We do not offer roaming at this time. Do you offer roaming?

Android Smartphone

1. Pull down the notifications screen & tap on Settings
2. Tap on Mobile Data (some phones say "more")
3. Tap Mobile Networks (some phones have "Access Point Names" here)
4. Tap Access Point Names
5. Press the menu button
6. Select New APN

7. Save Settings
8. Go back one screen to the APN list and tap on the dot to Enable the new mobile APN
9. Restart phone and you're set!


Apple iPhone - Internet and MMS (iOS Version 6 or Later)

1. Go to "Settings", tap on WiFi and temporarily turn it OFF
2. Back in "Settings", scroll down to "Messages" and tap to open it. Make sure MMS is OFF
3. Go back to "Settings", tap on "General" and then "Cellular". Make sure "Enable 3G" is OFF & "Data Roaming" is ON.
4. Scroll down and tap on "Cellular Data Network"
5. Under "Cellular Data Network" put in the following:

Cellular Data APN: pwg
MMS APN: pwg
MMSC: http://pwg.mmsmvno.com/mms/wapenc
MMS Max Message Size: 1048576
MMS UA Prof URL: http://www.apple.com/mms/uaprof.rdf

6. Click on the Home button to go back to the main phone screen
7. Go back to "Settings" one more time, scroll down and tap on "Messages" and turn it ON
8. Once you have set it up and tested to see it works, you can re-enable WiFi, turn off Data Roaming


Apple iPhone - Enabling 4G LTE

1. Go to Home Screen
2. Open Settings
3. Select Cellular
4. Select Enable LTE Switch
5. Select Enable LTE
6. LTE now enabled

Why isn't my Internet or picture messaging working?
